Here is my resume’ with regards to my Audio Production experience. I’ll be making a formal portfolio to go along with this shortly.
Host, Producer, and Audio Engineer
“Friday Night Party Line” Podcast
Minimum Job Studios
March 2011 – Present
Job Description: Scheduling of episode recording times, guests, and regular panelists; topic preparation and introduction; episode recording and post production; episode meta-data preparation and publishing; marketing.
What I like most about this job: I consider this job my first foray into the great world of radio. Yes, it’s a podcast, but what I do is pretty much identical to what 3 or 4 people would be doing in a traditional radio environment. It’s a labor, but a labor of love. Also, since I get paid for this, I can call myself a Professional Podcaster, which is a plus.
Editing and Post Production Engineer
“Current Issues in Credit Unions” Podcast
Rob Rutkowski
September 2010 – Present
Job Description: I perform the editing and post production for the podcast. This includes cleaning up background noise, softening harsh peaks, splicing the original track into smaller segments, and inserting music.
What I like most about this job: In editing this show, I get to listen to knowledgeable people talking about a subject I would otherwise have no encounters with. Also, it gives me experience in my field of study, which is radio and broadcasting.
What I’ve learned from this job: Adobe Audition is my primary tool in this job and, in my working on the show, I’ve learned much more about editing, audio restoration, and mixing than I knew before.
